CCTV Remote Viewing: Network testing and troubleshooting

Your done with dvr setup and configured router port forwarding and dmz(Demilitarized Zone). We now have to test your network. try to ping your dvr (e.g. ping 192.168.2.10), if you are able to ping it, then thats great, you have done it well locally. now for the host (e.g. mydvr.dyndns.org), tell a friend to try to ping your web ip address or your hostname. if he's able to ping them, your network is propery configured. But if not, try to see if you already configured the dmz or port forwarding of your router.

Here are few other reasons your service may not resolve correctly:

    * Typo: The simplest and most common problem is a typo. Double- and triple-check your spelling to make sure you are not transposing a letter or putting the wrong TLD (e.g. .net instead of .org).
    * Service is still in cart: Dynamic DNS hosts are placed in your shopping cart when you click the Create Host button. You must complete checkout to activate the hosts.
    * Service has not been created: When a new account is created, it does not contain any hosts. You need to add a hostname to begin using the service.
